TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions describe our services to you as well as your obligations to us. Please read these terms carefully before using this website to sign up for our services because they take effect as soon as you accept them: they are critical. If you have any questions or don't understand something, please use our 'contact us' form to get in touch.

These terms and conditions apply to our services we provide and your use of the www.surecredit.co.uk website.

BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE AND SIGNING UP FOR THE CREDIT REPORTING AND SCORE SERVICES, PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS.

  1. Our contract with you
  2. These are the terms and conditions that govern your use of the www.surecredit.co.uk website and form the basis of our contractual relationship with you. You agree to the terms and conditions of TransUnion International UK Limited by accepting these terms and conditions.

  3. Changes to these terms and conditions or our services
  4. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. If we make changes, we will post the new terms and conditions or details on the website. When the changes are posted on the website, they will take effect. You agree to revisit this page from time to time to be aware of any changes to these terms.

  5. Using our services
  6. Our services are only available to members. Please see clause 6 below for details on how to join:

    3.1 Membership Rules

3.1.1 After becoming a member you must keep to these rules.

3.1.2 Membership is personal to the person accepting these terms.

    3.1.3 Membership is non-transferable.

3.1.4 Membership cannot be used by persons other than the member.

3.1.5 You must ensure that no one else has access to your membership information, and you must keep it safe and confidential to you. You must not share them with anyone else and take reasonable precautions to ensure that no one else has access to them.

3.1.6 Other people in your household must not use your identity to access the scheme, benefits, or credit reporting service (and you must ensure that this does not happen).

3.1.7 Your benefits, access, and information from the credit reporting service are not for resale.

3.1.8 If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your username and password or any aspect of your membership, you must notify us immediately.

3.1.9 Our service is only available to members in the United Kingdom over the age of 18 (and, in some cases, within specific regions of the United Kingdom). As a result, not all services will be available to all members.

3.1.10 You will be required to successfully pass an authentication process before you may have access to TransUnion Services. Not all our customers will successfully pass authentication and neither us nor TransUnion are required to notify you why it has not been successfully authenticated, but one reason for this may be that, at the time you requested access to TransUnion Services, TransUnion has been unable to match your personal details to the correct credit profile in its database.

3.1.11 We are always looking for new services for our members from providers. Our services are constantly changing, and we cannot and do not promise, represent, or warrant that any specific benefits or elements of our service will be available at any given time. We reserve the right to remove, add, change, or substitute service elements at any time without notice to any or all members.

3.1.12 You agree that we are not responsible or liable for any services provided by third-party providers or for the credit report data provided by TransUnion International UK Limited, and that if you have any claims relating to service providers, you agree to make a claim against the relevant provider providing (or purporting to provide) the relevant service (including any issues with any credit reporting).

3.2 When you make a request for your Credit Score or Credit Report it shall leave a footprint on your credit file, which is not visible to lenders, but will be visible to you, TransUnion and any other third party you permit to view your full Credit Report. This will occur without you yourself requesting your Credit Score or Credit Report.

3.3 Unless you notify us that you want to cancel this agreement by following the steps outlined in clause 4.2 of these terms, your membership will be automatically renewed each month and you will be charged the fee (see clause 7).

  7. Duration of our services and your right of cancellation
  8. 4.1 We will continue to provide our services until they are cancelled in one of the ways listed below.

4.2 If you no longer want to receive our services, please cancel by using this link to log in and request cancellation https://app.surecredit.co.uk/account/login/ . Our service will be cancelled immediately upon reaching the final confirmation page (no future payments will be debited, or you will not be charged if you are still within your 14-day free trial period).

4.3 By entering into this agreement, you have requested that we begin providing services immediately rather than waiting until the cancellation period has expired. You agree that your execution of this agreement constitutes your express request for us to begin providing our services.

4.4 We reserve the right to terminate your membership and use of our services (including credit reporting and score services) immediately if:

    • you misuse our services (that is, you use the services in a way that is not permitted by these terms and conditions or where there is fraud); or
    • we stop providing our services or the www.surecredit.co.uk website; or
    • any payment that you owe us is declined, rejected, reversed or not made on time and in cleared funds.

    4.5 We may also immediately terminate your use of any of our services if;

    (i) you are no longer a customer of ours; or

(ii) our agreement with TransUnion International UK Limited comes to an end.

5.1.5 The credit reporting and score services will only provide you with information for your guidance and information. Businesses that conduct credit checks on you will gather information from a variety of sources and use their own criteria to make decisions. 5.4.3 You shouldn't solely rely on alerts service to make sure that your credit report is correct. You should check your credit report often to make sure that the information in it is correct and up to date.

    5.5. Dark Web Report

5.5.1 We will use your data as part our service to provide you with a Dark Web Report detailing whether any of your personal details have been found on the 'Dark Web'. Please keep in mind that the websites and service providers that we search for your information on are not exhaustive, and the absence of a breach does not imply that there was none.

5.5.2 We can only notify you if we discover your information in a data breach. It is up to you to take corrective action. If your personal information was compromised as a result of a data breach, we recommend that you contact the company that suffered the breach. We also recommend that you immediately change the passwords on all affected accounts. You should also check your credit report for any searches made against you or potential loans taken out fraudulently in your name and contact those companies directly as this may have an impact on your credit score.

6.4 A person cannot join unless they are based in the United Kingdom. A postal address in the United Kingdom is required for membership. Any person who becomes a member makes a statement (on which we rely) that he or she is, and will continue to be, based in the United Kingdom, and that person will provide a full postal address in the United Kingdom (including a valid post code).

6.5 Please see our Privacy Policy for more information on our privacy practises. We take privacy seriously and follow all relevant provisions of UK data protection legislation. All personal information submitted via this website or via email, such as membership enrolment information, will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

  13. The monthly fee
  14. 7.1 If you join, you will be given a 14-day free trial period (the "Trial Period"). During the Trial Period, you will have access to our services.
